Berdych, Jakub

Jakub Berdych is a co-founder of Qubus Design, one of the most popular contemporary Czech design studios. Since its origin in 2002, he is primarily engaged in the conceptual creation from the Czech traditional materials, such as glass and porcelain.

Its great merit is the overlap of the brand beyond Bohemia and the emergence of a series of works, comprehensive collections of products, now so significant for his work. His works can be seen in Czech, but also world-famous galleries, such as the Moss Gallery in New York, or the Mint Gallery in London and others. In addition to conceptual and product design, he focuses on the sphere of interior design, architecture and free art. Since 2008 he is an artistic director of the gallery shop Dox by Qubus, located in the gallery of contemporary art Dox in Prague and offers, besides renowned names and international brands, a comprehensive selection of contemporary Czech design and applied art.
